    "only considering offers over 30k
and was told guitar is priceless so therefore asking price is 1 million."

Lol.......not sure even EVH's or Ricky Medlockes would fetch 1/2 that....

...If you look at the screen shot he took in the ad, it shows the destoryers selling for $2900+

Not sure why people these joke CL ads... The rants and raves section has some great material, just leave it there. Can we just leave the for sale ads to just buying and selling already:mad:

You see these kinds of post all over local classifieds. Typically they're not guitar players, but merely owners - quite new ones at that - that have made some half-baked attempt at research, or gotten some "friend of a friend" over to look and appraise the gear. And they always go with the highest number they find.

It's kinda like those people with some old rusted down Chevy body in their backyard, that are confident it's worth $30k, because some guy told them (10 years ago) that they saw a similar car (in mint condition) get auctioned off for $50k.

And don't even get me started on the people with "rare!" / "one of a kind!" stuff.

You know, it's only stupid and ridiculous until someone actually pays that much for it. Then it's brilliant and visionary. I'd expect y'all Destroyer owners would be rooting for this sale, it would drive up the value of yours quite a bit perhaps.

    "only considering offers over 30k..."

Smart, leaving himself $970,000 of wiggle room...

Of course, the first rule of negotiation is "If you don't ask, you don't get."

"Prototype" is Craigslist for "Fubar, and we can't explain it."

It’s been debated world wide? Have we been debating this guitar before he put up his ad? And I wonder which pickup is hand wound?

I do like how he was told it’s priceless...therefore the asking price is 1 million.

I am thankful that he explained what prototype means. Heck none of us was even familiar with that term until he posted his ad.

That’s hilarious! He can’t even type out the amount of money he wants. He should have asked for a gazillion.

This ad drips of hope and schizophrenia.
