We're less than 30 days away from the kickoff of the new college season. I can't freakin' wait. Looking for my Auburn Tigers to continue last season's success and make the playoff.

I look for my beloved USF Bulls to get more than 3 wins this season and return to what little notoriety that the American Athletic Conference can bring us.

USF class of 2004, season ticket holder since 2005, been to at least 1 away game every year since then.

mdrake34 - I was at the Auburn game in 2007 when we handed you that nice OT loss. I stayed in the Hampton Inn in Columbus and drove to the game that night. Too bad things are like that again, lol!

Ugh, that game sucked. That was my junior year, I graduated from Auburn in 2008.

Yeah it's smart to stay in Columbus coming from out of town for Auburn games. The Auburn hotels are booked months in advanced and they hike the prices like crazy.

I remember booking that hotel in March that year just to make sure that I had a room secured. A USF Alumni owned a German-themed bar nearby where we went the night before the game and enjoyed a lot of Tucher-Wiezen (sp?) beer for free.

FWIW, Auburn fans to this day have the distinction of being the nicest away fans I have ever experienced. The worst? East Carolina. Immensely horrible people to be around.

I'm following Pitt. A talented young man from our town will be playing LB this season.

What was the name of the bar? I don't remember a German bar here.

It was called the Bavarian House, not sure if it is still there or not. It was closeby the Hampton Inn that I stayed at which was on the north side of Columbus, if I recall correctly.

    University of Kentucky Wildcats!

Yeah, I know it's not a popular choice.

Ahh, that's right. Unfortunately it closed. I ate there once, I wish I would have eaten there more often. Columbus, despite it's size, does not know how to patronize local restaurants. They all fail. But the red lobsters and ruby Tuesdays stay packed :facepalm

    WAR DAMN EAGLE !

I graduated in 1989 and 1993 from AU. I dont know if we can get to the championship again, but I still think we will do really well this year...can't freakin wait.

If Auburn had a law school I would have graduated from there twice. Sadly, I had to go to Samford for law school.

I think we're stronger this year, but not having Lawson hurts.

I think he has maybe this year left, and with Driskel at QB you might get your wish.

To think I wanted him to return to Auburn as a head coach several years ago :bonk

Mediacom STILL has not struck a deal for the SEC Network yet, and Auburn/Ark is on that channel. Hopefully they'll work out a deal at the 11th hour or Mediacom is going to have a lot of pissed off fans.
