Led off with two AC/DC songs. Is it possible, rock and roll is cool again? It looked like their new rhythm guy was playing Malcom's guitar.

The "new" rhythm guy is Malcom's son as I recall.

the "new" guy is Stevie Young, who is Mal's nephew, not his son.

Stevie played in the band previously during the 80s when Mal dropped out for rehab.

I wonder if that was Mal's actual guitar, or a reproduction?

I don't watch the Grammy's based on principle alone. However I did catch a few minutes of AC/DC's performance. That was pretty cool.

This morning I saw clips of Kanye West's antics once again. My dislike for the Grammy's were once again confirmed.

Yep...! And the only reason I watched it at all was because they were supposed to honor or at least say something about Paul Revere (RIP) and the Raiders. (Who, I might add, should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.. Or is it "Hall of Shame")

But I never heard them mentioned.

I didn't watch them, but I watched a clip today of Nuno playing with Paul McCartney. Pretty cool to see him on the stage.

Last year Tedeschi trucks won well deserved Grammy's but did not perform or be presented on stage. Of course thug talent hack Chris Brown & Kanye got all the attention they wanted. Complete BS.
So one of the most successful bands currently touring the world, Tedeschi Trucks was not performing on there again this year.
But it was nice to see overdone studio vocal effects and auto tune get so many Grammys.

Paul Revere was mentioned in the tribute segment.

Did AC/DC tune down? Sounded like it.

The nominations for best rock album had me baffled. And I'm not saying that from an "old guy yelling at clouds" perspective.

I clicked off after the AC/DC set. Who were the nominees?

I enjoyed that Annie Lennox version of "I Put a Spell on You".

Annie needs to listen to Joss Stone's rendition of that song. Annie's was a cure for insomnia, as was her kazoo imitation.

Annie doesn't need to listen to anybody, let alone someone 30 years younger than her. She killed it. It was her backing band who couldn't quite match her intensity. It still was a great performance.
