After some cat and mouse, I managed to track down my Centura. UPS had somehow gotten the address wrong (Street address of 500 instead of 2525???), so the driver just left it at the distribution center. My boy and I got it during some errands. Only a brief moment to plug it up, but it sounds like I'd expect and sure is pretty.

I've also just wrapped up a sale I've been working on arranging. Years back I got a very rare, old, small Supro "Special" amp and the time had come to find it a new home. The rarity of it gave me the idea of contacting Supro directly and they've just purchased it. I'm glad it's heading home. It's basically an Octal Champ with some huge transformers. I just don't need it around anymore, especially since the Ivy League arrived. My low-wattage tweed itch is perfectly scratched.

How are the new Supro amps? Anyone mess with them?

Gary and I got to try the Benson at NAMM. Very cool but quenched my desire.

I umpired Little League for 2 summers. Never again. I can't
say how many times I had to put parents/adults on notice
that I would forfeit their child's team if they didn't show some
dignity and respect. I was embarrassed for some of those kids
who had the most invested parents. :facepalm

Same experience umping Little League here too.

And adult softball beer league with teams comprised mainly of construction workers would be a close second.

I play over-40 church softball. Our ump is old and blind and calls the entire game from around home plate. We learned early on that he made a lot of bad calls but that they tended to even out over the whole season...unless you bark at him, in which case it doesn’t. :)

The Catholic team has one hothead who took years to learn this. It was so much fun to get him on tilt back before he mellowed out.

I'm guessing you don't hear the lord's name in vain often in that league? :)

Hmm. I told the hothead to eff off once when I made it to second safely and he complained that he’d tagged me.

Also my team has post-game beers in the parking lot.

Did I mention I play with the Episcopalians?

Recent Mad Professor YouTube pedal demos have disturbingly err ‘featured’ shorts. In one case the shorts were combined with a scarf!!!

I’ve spoken to them about it. I felt I had to.

You’re saying I should just go ahead and get a Benson Monarch instead. I hear you.
