I've been playing my Vicky Tweed deluxe a good bit and the newest strange rattle seems to be from the bell-cover on the alnico speaker. Do you guys ever deal with this? I've never personally encountered it and I'm not sure if it's a "tighten it up" fix or "pull it off" fix.

If you know anything, hit me up.

I'm thinking about letting my Benson Monarch go, if any of the PNW boaters are interested. Let's just say I'm testing the waters (chumming, perhaps).

Coolest guitar I’ve maybe ever seen in this thread. Congrats.
There is not a genre or vibe you can’t nail with those.

Small amps are where it is, and always will be.
I stupidly shlepped a 4x10 around for years. I was playing some big-ass venues with it, but still....

Try out the humbuckers in the second input and weaker single coils into the first with the Princeton. Good balance.

It's not easy to pin down a time frame, but according to the details on the schematic, the first unit with the later preamp had serial number 9451. It looks as if there were fewer than 400 with the early preamp voicing and maybe close to 20,000 units with later voicing.

Edit: I hadn't seen the other replies when I posted this.

Thanks, apart from being naturally obsessive ;), I've had some good education and a lot of experience with what goes wrong with electronic gear.

I'm not silly enough to think my designs are perfect, but I do my best to make them reliable.

@PlexiFuzz , have you received that Echoplex you bought recently? Just wondering. Mine is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the day Friday.

Special shoutout to Ed and others for recommending the Savior Machine. I spent an awful lot of time using that with the Strat and Goodsell 5F11, and it seems like a much better fit than my Rat clone did for some higher gain stuff with that set-up.

On the truck for delivery. I'm having it delivered to a local UPS Store, so I might not be able to pick it up until tomorrow. But soon!

This is all just for demo purposes, right? Please tell me this is just for demo purposes. I'm getting the vapors over here and I need my fainting couch.

I saw Bob a few weeks back in St. Paul. Fantastic show. Greg Norton's band opened and they were good too. At the end before the encore Bob just kind of sat on stage for a few minutes and was totally overcome by the probably 5 minute long standing ovation. It was pretty moving. Definitely something that I'll remember for a long time.

As a drummer, it breaks my rushing and dragging heart to know that people go to so much effort with the drummer plugin in the Logic/Garageband software. (Cue Sarah McLachlan) There's plenty of drummers waiting at your local Humane Society just looking for good homes.
