The Jim Dandy is a great little inexpensive guitar from their Roots collection. It reminds of my very first guitar, the Harmony Stella only this plays in tune. These can be had for $170 brand new. Just goes to show you don't have to spend a lot of money to sound like a million bucks!

In case anyone is interested, the three tunes are Charley Patton's "Jesus is a Dying Bed Maker", Fahey's "Spanish Two Step" and my arrangement of Johnny Cash' "Folsom Prison Blues". All in open G tuning.

Also, I don't work for Gretsch or have any affiliation with any maker or retailer. I got this guitar used from Sam Ash for $100. I just recently bought an old Harmony Stella from a GC in Michigan for $50. Still awaiting delivery on that one, but if it's playable, I'll post some video of that one, as well.

These videos are recorded in my backyard on my iPhone after a lot of beers. That explains a lot!
