Yeah, it's crazy loud. I never saw a hotel staffer complain all day, and they had (GULP) a Marshall MAJOR outside one of the rooms, blasting away ....

It was an amp junkie's dream, and I will be going again this year.

The LA Show was a gas. I had a great time, heard lots of great amps, and it was much better conditions in which to do a short amp demo then say NAMM.

Much better. I'm 'mos 'def going next year. Kudos to Lonnie for settting up these great events.

It's definitely a trip. Much fun as a spectator.

It's lots of fun but, if you're hoping to hear nuances, forget it. Once the guy in the next room cranks it, ...

True, but for me, it's better than NAMM or Guitar Center (GRIN).

I went to the last one in NJ. It was ok. There were a ton of boutique amps to see and check out. If you're in the market for one of these amps, it's a good way to check it out BEFORE you purchase.

I don't think I'll be going to the next one. I noticed the admission price was $20 just to get in. On principle, I'm not going. At least at a guitar show, there are usually tons and tons of guitars and tons of dealers too. There are only a handful of amp dealers at these shows. It'll take me longer to drive to the show, then I will spend at the show.
