I was just thinking about this last night. If I really really had to break it down to one guitar, a few pedals, and an amp, then I should go with the most flexible guitar, the pedals that cover the most ground but do the fundamental stuff better than anyone (none of that jack of all trades but master of none crap for me), and an amp that can take pedals well, have a gorgeous clean but has a pleasing overdrive when cranked, and can fill up a room but not destroy your eardrums.

Ok, all of that, or just an acoustic guitar. Tie between the J-45 and D-28S. But back to TGP...

The guitar would be my Clapton Strat:

Hmm, and give me a Rangemaster type thing and a Deluxe Memory Man.

For the rangemaster, I really like the beano boost side of my Sunlion, it has a GE 2N527 transistor in it:

And the analogman modded big box Deluxe Memory Man does it for me:
