Not sure if anybody else has been following the AV Club's Undercover series. I usually hit up the Onion for a lunch time laugh, but who knew that their AV Club had such great stuff on it. They put together this thing called Undercover, where they picked 25 songs, and brought in 25 different bands to cover them, and then filmed it. Seeing a good band cover a great song with their own spin, just love that. I think the AV Club did a great job picking songs, and choosing which bands to come in and cover them.

Anyway, there are some really great covers, here's my favorite three.

Wye Oak covers the Kinks

Ted Leo and The Pharmacists cover Tears for Fears

Clem Snide covers Journey (solo with a baritone ukelele... yes, you read that correctly. Blows my mind every time I listen to it)

Very cool idea! Thanks for the reminder. Especially cool for me to see Superchunk not only get props in the cover selections ("Detroit Has a Skyline" is an all time favorite song of mine), but also invited in and covering The Cure (and definitely making "In Between Days" over Superchunk style).
