Just finished watching this move. Very good psychological horror film. Highly recommend it.
It's interesting how they outline the whole plot at the beginning, yet it still gives up the goods.
A very nice ending on that movie.
Yup. The final few minutes did through me for a loop though. I ended up reading some interpretations to help understand it. Really required some thought on the whole story to put it all together.
I've been meaning to see it. I'm pleased that people liked it - it was an Australian film.
Haven't seen it yet but it's definitely on the short list. It got absolutely stellar reviews.
I will see this very soon. Loved the trailer
It was very good and an interesting premise.
Ooohhhhh......appears to be on Netflix instant streaming, no less. I know what I'm doing tonight
Honestly, I saw it drunk and laughed the whole time. Haven't seen it since, but I've heard good things from sober people. The stop motion Babadook just really stood out for me and made it look ridiculous.
Loved this movie. Scared the hell out of me. Very interesting ending.
Watched it last night with the wife - very good.
I've been planning on watching that and Starry Eyes. I've heard good things about both of those.
Spring looks good too! anyone seen?
Yes - it's enjoyable. Not sure whether it was purposefully constructed to keep you from figuring out what type of movie it is, or just muddled, but we liked it.
Another one we really liked was "Only Lovers Left Alive."
What about the ending? The mother says, "You're trespassing" and this fearsome creature scurries to the basement? Can someone help explain this to me?
I saw "The Babadook" back in early December. Pretty well done. No cheesy jump cuts just to startle you, just well executed slow burn. Really masterful work by the sound designer.
Oh baby, I'm going to amend the thread title to warn for possible spoilers.
Here is an opinion on what is really going on. It is titled as an explanation of the ending but it does talk about the whole film:
