The purple and gold Gus with the matching case is pretty cool.

Oh my... I'm really digging the shapes of the De Gier's. Wish I could get to try one here in Germany! :)

I've dipped my toes into the world of European guitar design with a Gustavsson and a Flaxwood—two VERY different but almost equally satisfying instruments—but it seems there are many other interesting avenues to explore.

    Thanks for the link!

I'm also smitten by that purple-and-gold Gus: my two favourite colours and a fascinating design...

I made this just a couple of days ago and I've been adding new photo's since. Funny that someone found it so fast! :) I own a couple of De Giers and I started this list because I was interested in more examples of European design, after watching mostly builders from the states on TGP. I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing so far, some stunning pieces and some crazy good builders are apparently living here in the EU. I think I'm done with looking at fenders and gibsons. Long live these creative, original, daring and expressive designers.

Well, if someone has other suggestions for certain builders / models / photo's just post them here and I'll add it.

Thanks! Added that Tausch pic (have a similar one in black further down the list, must have missed this red one) and some pics from Strandberg as well. Fibernare has only small pics inside a simpleviewer (flash) so I'm adding those later as they need a bit of a workaround before I can 'pin' them with the Pinterest tool, but I will make sure I add them!

All suggestions are more than welcome.

    Great stuff, thanks for posting!

Of course, this brings up the next question: Say I'm traveling and want to buy one of these sweet guitars in Europe and bring it back to the US. What kind of costs would I incur (such as customs fees, duties, taxes, etc.)?

    Thanks!
