I've been doing some research on swapping the Alnico 5 magnets out of my Strat because they have a tendency to "quack" a little much and have a lot of top end, brittle and so forth. I want to go low output, lower wound here, so I can push the amp a little more.

So what is a good option?

For my money, Lindy Fralin is THE man for Strat pickups. Can't go wrong with Jason Lollar, either. Contact either/both, tell 'em what you want, and they'll set you up.
