If you can find them, the Rodenburg 808, or Double 808's are incredible!!! Most guitarists don't even know about them...They're works of art, both in build quality and tone from Germany!! The finest Tubescreamers [with Bass!!] I've ever heard

    ...is no tube screamer.
People like the MJM Blues Devil a lot. The MI Blues Pro is nice too, if you like that TS thing. Menatone Blue Collar is also good. I sold all of them though.

I tried the Visual Sound Double Trouble yesterday through a DRRI and thought it sounded pretty good.

I may have seen this type of thread once or twice, but since this is the New Year it's about time someone asked this question again.

Personally, I like the MJM Blues Devil and the Burris Boostiest. On the cheap I'd go with a Bad Monkey.

The Blues Devil I had was decent, but didn't quite live up to the hype.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the Visual Sound Route 66. I like it best by quite a long way out of the ones I've had.

So far the best one I played was a Monte Allums TS9....for a modded TS sound it's hard to beat the FD2

HI I have a Rodenberg 828 2x TS9 clone with thesecond one a 3x more gain and both bassboost oh and you can use them together and seperate, when seperate you kick in one and with kicking the other one the first one is off. Great sound reminds me a lot like Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers.

The Blues Devil records exactly as you hear it into a clean chanel, so props.

I still favor the Maxon OD-9 for pure tube screamer app. Sounds pretty great into any amp, even a vox or plexi/vintage to modern Marshall, Mesas, Laneys, Bogners, Soldanos and especially any Fender amp.
