Any Budda Superdrive owners want the scoop on getting optimal tone?

    TREBLE BOOSTERS

This is a dark gained up ac30/800.

    YOU NEED TB's

I use a throbak strange master and have a few TB's in the mail.

The throbak rangemaster is a great option.

Do you have an 18? I've always been interested in those.

yep, its the easiest way to get them more aggressive and more Marshally sounding....a MXR micro amp in the loop does wonders also

I'm actually fine with these settings:
    Bass - 0
    Mids - 10
    Treble - 10
    Mid Pull - Pulled out.

Those settings give me a Vox meets Marshall tone. Very easy to get Brian May tones.

I will add this: I've owned a couple of 18s & 30s and found the 30s to be much darker.

EDIT: On the gain channel I run the gain around 11:00. Anything past that and the amp starts to compress more than I like.
I use a TS10 Tubescreamer to get more gain when I'm playing anything that requires it.

I got my SD30 dialed in with
    Bass 1
    Mids 9
    Treb 7

I have a java booster in the mail. I play with a 2x12 oversized port city cabinet so my base tone is bassy and needs a TB.

I got the Java Booster and I find it overly bassy with the budda verbmaster 4x10 I've currently got plugged in. I still need to try it with the SD18 port city 2x12os rig.

Java users, do you keep the tone knob all the way up at all times? Is the treble the only useable one? Never put it on bass?

I like a low gain OD with my Budda SD18. Barber LTD, KOT V4 (yellow side), or a Monsterpiece Stud work great with either channel.

I want to sound clearer and defined. Budda circuits are dark. With my Port City 2x12OS greenback cab, I have a Warren Haynes type OD tone. Not a bad thing at all, I just value clarity and cut.

So far the Keeley Java Boost (unless tone knob maxed & on mid or treble setting) and Swart Atomic Boost haven't got me there. The Throbak Strange Master gets me there though, like the Throbak Overdrive Boost, it has a twang in the EQ that is a lil undesirable.

Next up will be a Pigeon Rangemaster I have coming in the mail. Hadn't heard of them until today. A british company that makes rangemaster clones. We shall see.

I'd really like input from a Budda owner who has similar taste in tone.

I play through a Budda SD18. it's dark when it's quiet... I run a Rivera attenuator in line to open it up and it opens up a bit. But treble boosters will do the trick for sure! I'll look into one. Thanks for the insight.

I love the Bear foot sparkling Yellow into my Buddas precisely because of how dark the Buddas are. The SYOD just cuts through like a hot knife through butter, and it can totally transform the punch of the Budda with its eq abilities.

My SD45 is not dark. I can get her dark with the mid "in" and the mid/treble backed off but it's got some "thump" I do find a good EQ/Klon get's the good out. Maybe I'll give a TB a go...
