    Huge Cult fan!
    Thanks for starting this thread....
I saw them open for Guns n Roses on the "Use Your Illusion" tour at the Centrum in Worcester, Mass....I forget what year......
Both bands were fantastic that night.........

When Electric came out and all the goths went into hiding at their shows.

I love all the eras, so it was not a problem for me. Saw them recently and they were on form as usual.

I could be way wrong, but I think he’s a Boss DM-2 fan.

I couldn't agree more. I own all their records, and they've really written some outstanding stuff over the years. Their latest record, Hidden City, is a very good record. I think it's one of their very best, and Ian is freaking brilliant on it. They've kind of gone darker lately. More deeper/darker themes lyrically.

Ian's voice has really kind of matured, but still sound very good on record. Live it's hit or miss, but it's more hit lately as he's taking much better care of himself.

The nice thing is he and Billy seem to really have a deep respect and love for each other, which is rare for bands/musical partners who have been together as long as they do. I really like Billy's personality. He's just a really cool dude, and Ian has really lightened up after many years of being a jerk.

Here's a track from their latest record.

The Cult is hands down one of my favorite bands of all time. I love all their stuff. Love, Electric, and Sonic Temple are just stellar albums and essential listening! Billy Duffy is just a fantastic player.

Love it. Here's another tie in that made me smile when first watching the film:

I remember seeing Rain on Friday Night Videos (way back when) and from that moment I was a fan. Love remains one of my all time favorite albums. Cool thread.

I'll always remember the first time I heard The Cult. As a teenager I used to go to sleep with my Walkman headphones plugged into a little boombox on my headboard. One night I was falling asleep to KNAC (alt/underground format, pre-metal) and She Sells Sanctuary came on. I snapped awake like someone threw water on me and was blown away by the sounds in my ear. Bought the cassette the next day.

They were on the bill for the latest GNR tour at Dodger Stadium. I was pissed because the stupid Lyft driver decided to take the stupid way there and we missed The Cult's set. I had to take over or we would've missed Guns, too. It sounded great from outside. :FM

    Totally agree with this.

I was going to post the same thing, but you beat me to it.

It's a triple bill concert that never happened but really should have.

Listen to the albums Beyond Good and Evil as well as Weapon of Choice if you haven't listened to any of the recent recordings.

They still bring the rock and roll.

I saw them (The Cult) a couple times! Great shows! Matt Sorum on drums pre-GNR.

Yes, but there is a backing track or invisible player there, too.

    The Cult.

One of my all time favorite bands. Love, Electric, Sonic Temple, Beyond Good and Evil.

Ian is magic and Billy is a riff master.

Always a fan of these guys! Something about Billy’s playing and Ian’s voice. It all just works! We play a couple of their tunes in our set and they always go over so well!
