I just picked up a new Z Ghia head and 212 Fuchs cab this afternoon. Wow! The sounds I've been hearing in my head are real and they live in this amp! I tried it through a ZBest 212, my old Valvetech 212, and the Fuchs 212, and the Fuchs won. It really took on the character of the different speakers; with the Valvetech (red fangs) it was voxy, with the ZBest it was a bit more on the Marshall side. Sounded great with all of them, but the Fuchs was the winner for me. So thick and yet so clear! And I've never played an amp that reacted so well to the guitar volume. Just a great amp!

Of all of my prior amps, that's the one I'd still like to have.

It's my go-to for beautiful low-volume cleans. Long live the Ghia!

    Howdy,

Ryan: I bought my Ghia earlier this year and simply don't use my other amps anymore! While the Ghia's forte is raunch, it's no "one trick Pony". Using a Weber AlNiCO Silver Bell in my 1-12 Z cab, I even manage to get good, chimey clean tones as well. Congrats and enjoy your new Carmen Ghia!
