So, I sold a guitar last week, and now have roughly a week's TGP salary (but I could add more) ready to put down on a new ride. There's a spot open in my rack, too. And nothing in the Emporium excites me. Nothing. Do I have a problem?

    Currently in the rack:
    Grosh RCVT (tele)
    Grosh ElectraJet w/P-90s (my fave)
    Parts O'Strat
    PRS DGT
    Collings I35lc
    Danelectro 12 String
Gaping open hole for another guitar

I don't believe in duplicates, so no strats, teles, 335s. I don't like Les Pauls. Not a huge SG fan either. I really like the DGT, and would potentially consider another PRS, but I'm not sure another solid body, 2 humbucker guitar is going to be that much different. Am I missing out on something here?

Or is this a "It's not you, it's me" situation? Maybe I'll just move my P-Bass off the wall to fill the hole.

Maybe you have reached gear nirvana? That lineup sounds stellar. There is plenty of cool stuff out there, but if you have bases covered, you have bases covered. My last pickup was a Cabronita, because 'Trons offer a little something different. Maybe a Gretsch of some kind?

"Is it me" ?? That's what the shrinks would say.. If you're bored and no one else is, then it's you... I hate it when that happens... :D

Hmmm. Maybe? I'm moderately intrigued by the idea of a 50s junior. I dunno.

Aren't those just going to be another strat/tele variant? The Suhr Alt T looks moderately cool, and there's one FS in my city (DC), too.

Thought there’s a Yaron Strat out there, too.

The emporium always has something. I’d take that cash and grab the blackface reverb deluxe sitting in there now if I were you.

I've never owned a Gretsch. I always think of rockabilly type stuff on those, which isn't really my thing. Would those guitars work in a jam/rock setting (Dead, Phish, etc.?)

Alas, no room for another amp, and I like the 3 I have now.

I like the strat I have. I've never felt inclined to have multiples of the same style of guitar.

I've got 6 guitars that cover almost all bases except acoustic and I don't feel the need for another guitar. Got a good amp and a handful of pedals. Only thing I have been considering is a Helix Stomp to get rid of my OCD in that I don't like having a mishmash of pedals and jumble of cables that looks like a kid had a hissy fit and emptied their fisher price toy box all over the floor. Otherwise I'm pretty happy.

There's very rarely anything there that interests me. Mostly oddball stuff or stuff that's way overpriced.

But that might be a function of me having great stuff already, I'm not searching for anything anymore. I know what I want and I've already got it :)
