First track from the OG-Dokken with Mason on vocals released.

Solid not super blown away by this track but looking forward to hearing the rest. Sounds likes something that could have been on the last couple Lynch Mob records.

I like it, but it’s not killer.
The mix is solid. Jeff Pilson’s bass sounds nice n punchy.
George still sounds like himself.(one of my favorite players)

I agree; the lyrics are pretty “meh”.

I like it. The vocals are great, although I agree the lyric isn't exactly Dylan-esque it's good enough for rock.
Reminds me a lot of KXM, which should come as no surprise.

The song is okay with a definite updated Dokken sound.

But, man, just seeing George, Jeff and Mick jamming again makes my day!

Definitely digging this, always dug Robert Mason (sorry FiestaRed!). Lyrics are meh but it's not something I ever focused on in the hard rock/hair metal realm.

Am I the only one that finds this funny that come lead time in the video he "switches" to the Gretsch? Kinda funny considering those old school ESPs he's known for and then going "older school" with the Gretsch :)

Reminds me of Don's solo release-"Up from the Ashes" Which IMO- smokes this. Norums playing is better, Don's vocals are stronger. Would need to listen further though.:hide2

Except that album came out 30 years ago. Don's vocals are not stronger than Mason's these days.

I know that. That track sounds in the same vein from 20 years past- tells me something.

Exactly what I thought when listening.
In fact, the verse riff sounds like it was lifted right from this track:

I was never a huge Mason fan, I always preferred Oni, but Robert sounds okay here.
I think Oni would have done a much better job lyrically, and with the chorus, which is dreadful IMO.

George sounds great as always, although I'd wager a month's salary he didn't record that solo with the Gretsch, and using it just for the video is cheesy.

Jeff and Mick sound cool, Jeff's bass tone is one of my favorites.

Having said all that, I'm glad they're together making new music, and it's safe to say I'll be buying the album when it is released.

    Rock on! :D

Guys playing music they know and love best. Could be 30 years ago but nothing wrong with that. I like it. Funny though, I never knowingly listened to a Lynch band. Some stuff just falls off one's radar.
Weird that. Imagine its '68 Led Zep-I and people say, 'yeah, that sounded like it could've come out in 1938.' lol

Loved Oni on the first Lynch Mob record and didn't like the second record with Mason as much. As for the chorus, I wonder how much is due to Pilson as it does sound more Dokkenesque.

Interesting hearing how the voices have aged a bit differently between Oni, who has lost a bit of top end and Mason, who sounds relatively the same. Kinda like a well aged bourbon vs a smoother whiskey- both are damn good in their own ways.

@viper I agree 100% Oni in his prime was one of the best from the era. This is actually not to bad.
I saw Mason with Warrant 2 years ago and he had garbage crowd interaction acting like he is so great. He sounds nothing like Jani Lane nor did he try. Warrant was crap, trying to play new stuff that sounded noting like the songs that made them popular.

Lynch is sure putting out a lot of material. Why can't Warren get a band going?

Regarding the comments about this sounding 30 years old..........hell to the yes! As tho there is anything good coming out today apart from Last in line, Steel Panther and a few others doing what they do best -shred!
