Say you were only able to purchase six more pieces of gear, ever. This is in addition to what you have now. You cannot trade them or sell them. Money’s no object. What would they be?

    My picks:

    Girl Brand Waffle Guitar

BJFe More Coal Booster (only 2 were made)

Matchless DC30 in Shower Curtain finish

    Binson Echorec

    Benson Tall Bird reverb unit

    Moog One poly synth

Yeah, but... you already have those. It’s “Six more” not six total.

So, you’re content forever then? Wow. Haha

    1. A Carvin Legacy Drive pedal
    2. A GigRig Quartermaster QMX 8
    3. A left-handed Ibanez JS1200 guitar (the old 22-fret candy red Satriani guitar, very hard to find left-handed, which is what I am)
    4. Some sort of nice 7-string guitar since it would be interesting to see what I could do with one.
    5. A Fender Telecaster
    6. Another tube amp. I'm not sure which, but it would be one that does good distorted sounds but also has a nice clean channel for using pedals. A Mesa Lonestar might be an option, or a Mark V. Who knows? Those amps are way overkill for what I need anyway.

Oh I misread. 6 more.. I'd probably pick up the rest of the Xotic pedals (which I plan to) and maybe add in 1 more guitar. Still wouldn't mind a hollow body. Otherwise though I'm real content with what I have.. no GAS anymore really.

I swear this is true because it's what I'm doing. I need to...

    1. Put a Warmoth neck on my tele
    2. Finish building my red strat
    3. finish building my black strat
    4. I need a CE-2, a vibe, and some George L's connectors
    5. A tuner pedal

I've been working on tying up loose ends in my music studio for about three years now. These are LITERALLY the last items I need to complete the goal I created for myself and then I am DONE buying gear. I've got more, and better, amps, guitars, and effects than I could have dreamed of owning. I've been ridiculed by other guitarists that GAS will never fade but they're just wrong. I am not a gas addict. I did a stint in GAS for about 10-15 years but I never wanted it to be as life sentence so it won't be. I learned what I wanted, became more savy, and now it's time to move on from the buying. I don't practice fooling myself that acquiring things is the same as progress. I don't have any more "want". I have riches beyond anything I had ever imagined. The real goal for me was ultimately to improve myself, sharpen my saw, and have a full pallet of colors, textures, sounds, and variety. After I take care of the rest of the items on the list I have a few guitars and a pile of pedals to purge. I just wish I had finished before California added sales tax to out of state purchases.
