Great beat - someone should loop it!

Clyde Stubblefield! He lives here in Madison, plays around town all the time.

Its electronics and Loops like that that are KILLING music. That was that mans soul , to loop it and just play behind it sickens me unless you are just using it for practice. Nothing Personal, Just how I feel about Electronic driven music. Like having a Player piano......no soul.

EZDrummer has an extension pack called Funk Masters that has a lot of Clyde's beats. He is one of the featured drummers. Great sounding loops (he is actually playing on them).

One of the classics. Sublime used that beat (sampled & looped) in their cover of the Dead's Scarlet Begonias. I think I've heard the beat else where though, but that was a good mash up by Sublime.

Speaking of Clyde, he's part of this jazz trio that does the backing music for a show that is aired on NPR on sundays around noon or 1pm. Pretty cool.

Everyone here should pick up this DVD if you want some funky education..
By the way, Sco plays with the band who takes these beats and jams on 'em after they teach you them...
