I'll have to add that to the list of insanely overpriced pedals....
    Whats next $1599 for a DS-1?

WTF! That's absolutely ridiculous. Seriously. Ridiculous. I wonder if the buyer knows it sounds EXACTLY the same as the silver ones?

Literally there are many boutique amps that can't even pull in $1300 right now that may have cost around $2000 new. Here's a pedal thats still in production but without the graphic which you can buy brand new for around $350. Go figure.

i don't think the buyer was a player.... prob a collector of some sort... though serial # in the 600's doesn't even seem that impressive. #2 or below 100.... maybe.... I'm not sure guys. i dont think you'll see too many more sell at this price.

    Lol

If I'd bought that I'd have to be crazy.
$1.3k and I'll probably never get that amount back if I resell it.

    :horse

The first time I've used that emoticon literally, we need to beat that horse!

I've never understood the appeal of the horsey Klons. I'd be happy with a plain old, non centaur graphic, silver model.

I know, collectors, etc. but in the state of our country...:huh

The strangest thing about that auction to my eyes is that it doesn't at all look mint to me. Look at that dark ring around the switch? It's noticable in photos from all the angles, so it's defenitly not because of the lighting, or so.
I'm glad I already own a beastieman centaur!

I'm starting to dislike the sellers less for putting high mark ups in the first place. I think the bigger issue lies in sucker buyers that are willing to pay so much for something that isn't really worth that much. But I guess a commodity is as much as the public is willing to pay for it. There should be a youtube channel dedicated to the facial responses and expressions on buyers that realized they paid too much for their Klon :p

I'm glad no one's coming to the buyers rescue & saying " its worth what people will pay". that's just insane to pay that much. if you pay that much for a boost pedal, you'd better have a great guitar/amp setup.

Pfft... I serviced one with a serial# in the 300s last month. Big whoop.
Though the pic is kinda low res, it looks like yet another resistor value in that one position... definitely not a jumper.
