Yes! Came here to post this. Absolutely brilliant and according to one interview I read with Skunk Baxter, extemporaneous as well?

Since No Quarter has been mentioned I’ll go with Neon Knights by Tony Iommi. Great use of speed and texture.

Even though I've heard it hundreds of times, Hendrix doing All Along the Watchtower always results in turning up the volume.

Ending solo of the song always by bon jovi from the live from London DVD.

Sambora killed it here. To this day I try to recreate the feel of this solo.

Technically nothing special, but... You know...

Always liked this one. Has a VH feel, but seems different than what I normally hear out of Wilton and DeGarmo. Could it have been a studio musician?

About as perfect as I can imagine.

I didn't like this short song at first. It's got all sorts of sudden changes and it seems jarring, but then the guitar solo at about 1:33 comes along and it's just so perfect.:bow

Molesworth, terror of IIb, hav written a ver good song. Another Planet is wonderful. And the lyrical content is so very Molesworth. “Space travel’s in my blood...” Genius. And a great guitar solo too, though the intonation always got to me a bit.

What about Squeeze’s Another Nail in My Heart? Short and very sweet; and to the point.

That tone comes from his hands.

And the rest of us can weep.

Not the fanciest, and one of the most obvious, but it still gets me every time..."We Will Rock You" - Queen:

And this one by Michael "Kidd Funkadelic" Hampton..."(Not Just) Knee Deep" - Funkadelic (solo starts about 6:57)

Let's just say all of Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson...someday I'm going to learn the entire song... ..maybe.

The solo from Are you Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz is also one I really like...

So many Ty Tabor solos also...

    The Wind Cries Mary (Jimi)
    While My Guitar Gently Weeps
    Crossroads (Farewell Concert)
    Hell's Bells (Holdsworth/Buford)
    I'm Buzzed (Mike Landau)
