the guitarists finest quality

    a)FEEL,
    b)SOUND KNOWLEDGE OF MUSIC/THEORY,
    c)TECHNIQUE,
    d)TONE.
    which of the above qualities do you consider to be of the most importance to the modern guitarist?....20 years ago my answer would have been quite different,but i am older and wiser now:)..and so my list reads as follows;D,A,C,B.

    i'd say the ability to hear / listen (both in an aural skills sense, and to the overall band)

    I go with A,D,C and B.

    If you have feel then technique doesn't matter so much. The greatest tone in the world won't help you if you don't have feel but having both is wonderful. And I have known some fantastic guitarists that had almost no knowledge of theory. Terry Kath is a great example.
