The Hollies on Prime

theres a great documentary on prime about the Hollies. One of my all time favorite bands. These guys were killing it, so hard that there’s a lot of footage of them. They wrote some of the greatest pop songs ever written. They were bigger before the Beatles, Tony Hicks is a wonderful guitar player in 1963. They broke more hearts than the Beatles.

They were not bigger before the Beatle nor did they break more hearts although I have no idea how you would quantify that?. The Beatles broke through in 1962 while the Hollies appeared the year after in 1963 as the record companies began to catch up. A great band though I agree and their harmonies were as good as if not better than the Beatles in some songs but really no one was ever bigger than the Beatles in the 60's.

I said they broke big before the Beatles, and when the Beatles changed direction, the Hollies stayed with pop therefore effecting young girls. You seem a little wound up. I didn’t mean to upset you, I meant those words with a smile.
