    This is long overdue.

Discuss your favorite indie bands here. Links to bands and videos, tours and upcoming shows etc.

I’m kicking things off with one of my favorite live bands Deerhunter

Can it be an independent artist who has been round for a while, but may or may not be currently touring? Does it need to be a new song? Great thread!

Anyone have an opinion on the latest Beach House album? I need to listen to it a bit more.

Its awesome. I really like the atmosphere of that record. I`d say it is something to listen to during sunrise/after sunrise time. It has to be dark and then voila enjoy the mood

Saw these guys a few times between 2010 and 2012. Solid live band. Lost track a little after Mirage Rock. I have to check out their latest.

Edit. Just listened to the Live at Ryman album. Fantastic!

A good contender for best indie band since the millennium for me would be Interpol. This is from their least critically successful album but it's one of my favourite songs by anyone, simply sublime:

Also from the New York crowd, these guys are one of the best live acts going:

A guitar hero for the millennial generation:

Winner of the 'I know it's 2018, not 1968, but don't tell these guys' award goes to:

And I don't think we can have a current indie thread without Wolf Alice:

This is probably my favourite recent discovery:

And I love this woman, although the TGP anti-hipster movement may not be overjoyed by the backing band:

    Meta-hipster:

Neko's been on a ton of indie labels, she's got to deserve a place in the thread:

I'll finish on some traditional skinny white boys being rowdy stuff:

I’ve been obsessing lately with Alvvays too. They are definitely on the pop side of things, but the ambiance guitar tones in the background are pretty killer.

This guy is “must see” live. I saw nearly 30 shows last year and I rank his performance as the second best only to McCartney.

I saw him a few years ago touring Honeybear and he was stunning - up there with Nick Cave and Morrissey in his ability to get an audience into the palm of his hands. I wasn't a huge fan of Pure Comedy and still deciding on the new one but he's definitely one to keep an eye on.

    Great thread.
My daughter turned me on to these guys. Went to see them at the Fillmore. Kick-ass show.
