i would agree , it's quite an album....it's got all the right ingredients at the right time.Deserves an embed:
IMO, Aladdin Sane is start-to-finish the best album Bowie recorded. I love every song off that album.
This.I agree that every song on Aladdin Sane is amazing. No filler.
This factoid bought a lot of (extra) cred with me when I realized it was all Bowie. -ECheck out 'Diamond Dogs'.
Aside from Earl Slick on "Rock 'n' Roll with Me" and Alan Parker on "1984", the guitars were all Bowie.
In one of those Bowie documentaries Trevor Bolder talks about his mistake. It is one of the most famous mistakes in rock recording I think. Yes there are Bonham's bass drum squeaks, many Van Halen flubs, etc...but other than Cobain's mistake in the Man Who Sold The World solo (which is ironically another Bowie tune) the other ones you have to listen for but for both JG and TMWSTW it's like "man, they screwed up!!!". Brilliant screw upsAnyone know about the 'stumble' on the album version of Jean Genie? The part where he says, "Get back on it".
I agree that every song on Aladdin Sane is amazing. No filler.
