    It's so tiny and cute.

Gonna need your full opinion of both pedals asap! Especially if you run the JC as a preamp.

Will do some playin' tonite folks but will be at house "polite" volumes ( sadly) but will still be able to audition the Serf tones as a boost, and as for sound samples, I'm afraid i am not set up for such luxuries as Simon has all my money :)

Question for preamp users...can you run them directly into a Boss TAE? Or would you need a separate power amp?

    Anybody try this?

It will be interesting to see if the (for want of a better word) non Kingsley users will embrace this one

The genius of Simon's power supply design will never cease to impress me.

Not even to mention his sheer knowledge and prowess with tube circuit design and of course the impeccable build quality.

Yes Sir ^ a masterclass in pedal building, When one of the UKs premier builders (Thorpy) says the builds and pedals are 2nd to none it kinda brings it home

I've tried a Timmy and a GE7 boosting the Jester OD channel. Both sound really good. I do not, however very much like the sound of a Fuzz pushing the Jester. Like most ODs, it gets kinda mushy and overly compressed. The boost side of the Jester does sound good with a fuzz, though.

    It's beautiful

Kinda feel like i should send an email and ask for a Serf to be added since I just got on the list for a Maiden BF

That's what happens when you leave a squire and an eq lift next to one another on an unattended pedalboard. He should have called it the Bastard.

Les Paul into a tube Laney VC 15...Serf at front of pedal chain board

1st up, unity volume is around 11 O'clock and full ccw is off, silence

mode 1 (left position) is full spectrum EQ, huge fat sounding chords
mode 2 (middle position) is to these old tired ears what i call the Fender sound, the roundness has gone and in place we have slender, tight, clean twin tone
mode 3 (right position) slight volume increase and some lovely mids, these same old tired ears calls this one the Marshall sound, thick and punchy

Straight into the amp by itself you'd swear this pedal had some gain too with the knob @ 3 O'clock but it's the poor Laney tubes begging for mercy, can be crunchy or singing sustain into the FOA with HIGH pedal knob volume levels, nice

In front of a Jester set for med gain all that is required from the Serf is a setting of around noon on the single volume knob to get things really singing. Although unity is around eleven there is plenty of volume available from clean all the way through.

It's especially nice with the Jester which can now be goosed from the front or the back, which of course results in two different outcomes/tones

I only had an hour or so with the two pedals tonight (yup, JC came today too) and did not really get a chance to bang away in anger but what i did hear was something a wee bit special. JC report to follow

    :)

Sounds to me like the serf is a page with a few controls hardwired in place. Amirite?

It's been said that the Serf is basically the boost side of the Jester

So cool to see you got a Serf finally, I was on the list but once I saw the v3 Harlot was ready a couple months ago I switched my order and got one of those. Thanks for sharing!

Do you have any of the mid size pedals like Harlot or Page to show the size difference of the Serf?
