I was looking for something to watch on Amazon the other day and stumbled across this. Man, what a gem. High energy, great songwriting, tight playing, and great sound. I've watched this a bunch of times since finding it. Enjoy!

I always credit the Knack and Cheap Trick for delivering the one-two punch ("I Want You to Want Me" and "My Sharona") that killed disco!

Get The Knack is one of the all-time great albums. Not a bad track on there -- and IMO "My Sharona", as great of a tune as it is, is far from the best song on there.

The remaster on Iconoclassic is the one to get, BTW -- phenomenal remastering without any added compression.

Great band. While the first video sounds good, I've just always thought of them as a trashy/garage band (in a good way), and that just sounds too clean to me. Great musicians. Great songs, though!

Yeah, he looks like he's getting a pretty good workout there. Fun to watch!

    RIP Doug Fieger

I always thought the solo break on My Sharona was incredible.

Agreed. I think Berton Averre is a really underrated guitarist. He reminds me of Elliot Easton in a way. Always tasteful and perfect for the song.

He played that solo exactly like it is on the record.

Clearly doesn't frequent these pages. ;)
