Oh yeah, Dimebags lightning bolt guitar too....the axe he was destined to play. Parents bought it for him, he pawned it to pay car insurance, and supposedly found the lightning bolt axe at a pawn shop sometime later. Snatched it up only to find out later that it was the 1 his parents got him that he previously pawned. Something like that anyway...dont remember exactly. But I'd love to play that and never wash my hands again. Haha

I also have to vote for Brian May’s Red Special.

Almost all these other guitars are off the production line, you can get a reasonably good idea of what one played like - if it’s a ‘59 LP (Pearly Gates) or SRV’s Strat etc.

But a guitar built from scratch by the owner to an original design and extensively played for 55+ years? I mean, for all we know that guitar plays like **** and is completely Mickey Mouse, but in the hands of its creator - it’s some kind of magic (sorry...pun intended).

Be careful what you wish for.

Not that I played "it", but a Historic Makeover Jimmy Page #1.

Yuck. No thanks. Keep it. The weirdest neck carve ever, shaved down toward the middle blooming out at the nut and the heel.

I like my guitars, I'm good.

My first reaction was "none", although just for curiosity's sake it could be nice just to confirm that my own gear is easily as good (and often better, like not completely worn out).

SRV Strat. Several bits of folklore could put to rest. Were there 13's on it? Was the action a mile high? Were the pickups magical? Will I sound like SRV if I have his guitar?

All the "Legendary" guitars are so out of what I like on a guitar. I guess id like to play Shawn Lane's 750XL Charvels, or Guthrie Govan's original Suhrs, cause its similar to the ones I already use.

I'd love to get the chance to play Stevie's Lenny Strat. I got to play Fender's reissue of that particular guitar, which was great.

Those questions have been put to rest a long time ago by Stevie's guitar tech Rene Martinez.
