Bsaed on the guitar he had stolen from an airport in 1970. With or w/o Bigsby, Burstbuckers and a six position toggle. $5,999 or signed edition for $25,000. I think I'll take mine without the ink.

I have the Frampton Les Paul and I love it and would never part with it! I don't fancy the new Jimmy Page Les Paul, but I wished I have the previous Les Paul that came out with his name on it.:AOK:dude

That's a great looking guitar, and I certainly love Jimmy Page, but are you serious - adding the autograph raises the price to 25K? If so, that's just absurd IMO.

And they wonder why the used market is so strong. What are these MSRP's aimed at, lawyers and doctors? Can't be working musicians!

Uh... that's exactly who they are aimed at... Gibson is the Harley Davidson of the Guitar world... they are selling directly to your midlife crisis havin' lawyers and doctors who can now afford the "very best".

They are a lifestyle company. even the lower end instruments are priced out of most folks' price ranges.

I would never pay what they are asking for this guitar... certainly not to play it - maybe keep it in a hyperbaric chamber!

i agree, they are priced too high. you're paying 40% more for jimmy page's name and gibson's corporate greed.
find a used custom shop black beauty and wire it yourself. that's what jimmy would have done anyway!

I wish Gibson would start making guitars for real people again. All the good stuff is VOS or Historic or whatever now... they charge like an extra grand for aged binding and nickel plated hardware. But you can get a good deal on a Silverburst Les Paul!:roll
