That's a very good TV show - 6 part miniseries. I am on episode 5 and it's well worth watching. TV is seldom this well done for me anyway

Where are you watching it? It's only episode 3 tomorrow on local programming.

I generally despise "good" tv, but I would like to see this. I like the two 6 part British John Le Carre miniseries' with Alec Guiness.

I much prefer telling a story in a fixed amount of episodes over the multi season drama shite that is popular nowadays.

It's a good show. Le Carre is a master of course, but their take on it which is somewhat more 007 in its approach, work well on the screen.

Between this and London Spy the brits have been on a roll recently

I should like this based on the premise; but Tom Huddleston bugs me for some vague reason and I can only see Hugh Laurie as House. Am I wrong? Should I give it a go?

Yes you should watch it. I didn't really watch House & have no thoughts on Huddleston but they both a great job. I will be surprised if this show does not win several awards

I watched Episode 1 and was hooked about three minutes in. Since it's essentially a 7 hour movie, I've decided to wait until the other 5 air so that I can binge watch them.

Agree wholeheartedly. The 80s BBC productions of Tinker Tailor, Soldier Spy and Smiley's People with Guinness are two of the greatest adaptations ever put to film, IMO. And yes, the miniseries format is the perfect vehicle to tell a complex story.

I dig the feel to it, and really like Tom Hiddleson, glad to see him diversify from Loki and do think he'd make a charming James Bond. Not as physical as Craig but more to the Roger Moore Bond, which is what I grew up loving in the late-70s and 80s.

Agree that this is a great show. I like the miniseries format. The writing doesn't get stale like a series that drags on and on and on and on and......

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy was great.

The Night Manager is very good. It seems they've gone more for high gloss entertainment than deep subtlety.

I do enjoy it though and expect to watch it to the end.
