Today I decided to give this whole photography thing a try, and decided to take some artsy-ish pictures of my newest, latest and greatest strat. I took over 100 photos, and I REALLY enjoyed it. The key really is natural lighting, although I've learned that it can work both for you and against you. It's all about finding the right angle in the right light, IMO. Please post some of your artsy-ish photos in here, and tell us about the guitar... I know there are more than a few of you here who are into that. Can't wait to see some. In the mean-time, please tell me what you think of my photos, as it's my first time taking some "nice" ones. Cheers.

    Marko M.

    P.S. Yes, there are a bunch :)

Beautiful shots of that Strat!! I'm glad that Fender has been using the extra thick neck plates on their Team and Master built guitars!

I only have one cool shot of my guitar. Blackguard and Tweed porn!

The guitar my dad built from an end-table (Rice #092).

I love the lighting I get on this picnic table (Rice #076).

The lighting is critical. Every time I shoot a guitar I learn something new.

great shots, everyone! I'm surprised to see that you guys actually liked my photos, seeing as it was my first time taking these artsy shots! Oh... and the guitar ISN'T a white of any type. It's a faded sonic blue... a faded sonic blue that appears to be an olympic white more often than not. That's ok, though- those are my two favourite colors. Thanks again, and keep the pics coming! I'm gonna' post some more tomorrow when the sun's back up. Cheers.

    Awsome photos!
Gururyan, what was the lighting situation when you took that pic? It just semms so perfect. I've always dug that shot.

The photos don't have to be limited to JUST guitars- they can be amps, pedals... even cables if you want. Here are some pictures I thought where pretty cool. Sadly, most of the stuff in the pictures isn't with me anymore, but I've got these great photos to remeber them with :D The ones of the pedals are my favourite... along with the tele in the grass. Enjoy!
