Fractal offers the least bass specific content of all of the major DSP players on the market. The AxeFX III is lauded as the most powerful processor on the market and costs over $2,000 yet offers less bass content than the $600 HX Stomp.

I just laid down some bass tracks over the weekend, went direct into my audio interface and added compression and EQ in the mix - sounds great. Sorry you are upset, great thread title to bring traffic!

These posts make me so sad... I expect us to rip gear and companies, but why this kind of attitude towards our fellow musicians? Lame

Really? How many digital modelers have bass content in them? Boss has a whole "Bass" mode.

If bass players don't use digital modelers why do you think all these companies have spent the time/resources/money to create them?

I played 90 shows with my AxeFX III this summer and never had a single frustration or moment when I wished I had something else, or any situation where it couldn’t do exactly what I wanted it to do.

So, sell it to show solidarity with your bottom end brothers.....?

I really dig the "bass" tones I get out of the SY

I actually know a local guy who hacked a 13-pin pickup onto his Ibanez 5 string and uses the SY to mimic upright bass tones. I've sat in the house while he's playing and it reads surprisingly well in the mix!

Looking this morning at what the QC has to offer bassists VS Fractal is the first time in a long time I've actually considered that.

I know more than one professional bassist who has switched to Line 6 because they're the only big digital company who really takes bass gear seriously.
