The Ratt Dispute Is Getting Nasty

Youve probably heard that Blotzer was touring as Ratt, but now Warren
and the others have claimed they own the name and are planning a
comeback tour without Blotzer.

Warren, Pearcy, et al. recently showed up on a cruise ship and performed
as Ratt, but subtly called themselves the Stowaways.

Blotzer continued to tour as Ratt with no other original members, but just
the other day he was to perform at a casino and he was served a cease and
desist by Warren and co.

The casino did not let Blotzer play, and now the battle has begun, as Blotzer
claims he owns half the name (and probably does).

Here is a video about the casino incident.

Blotzer was caught...At the scene of the crime. It'll all be taken care of the morning after. I wouldn't worry because after they decide on some sort of cash settlement, they'll simply lay it down. I just hope they don't come back for more. But if Blotz is smart, he'll lay low because he's a wanted man.

Way Cool, Jr. !

Owning half doesn't mean you own all, or have the right to use all. Blotzer may be smart to remember that.

And let's be honest. Ratt without Pearcy is not Ratt. Period. If I went to see Aerosmith and the lead singer was some dude, the guitarists were two other dudes, and the drummer was a fourth dude, and Tom Hamilton was the only guy in the band, that's not freaking Aerosmith.

Some bands have wised up and realized that disputes are expensive and counterproductive. They agree to be cordial even if they keep their distance from each other and do money-spinning reunion tours rather than play pass-the-parcel with the band name.

Blotzer lives(d?) next door to a friend from high school in Houston, they probably saw his house and got jealous. Even at Houston prices it ain't a cheap neighborhood. He's supposedly a pretty down to earth guy, gave their son some drum lessons... I'm with the guy that said whichever band Warren is in, that's RATT.

Warren was interviewed on Shane Theriot's podcast, cool interview where he drives around hollywood telling stories of each location.
