Did not realize until recently, there's an actual Bridge of Sighs in Venice. Built around 1600 that runs from prison to the interrogation rooms.
Guess that's what the talking, end of song is?
Was a great song before I knew... now I like it more.
I walked over that bridge a few weeks ago. To get to the bridge you have to tour the Doge's Palace. If you ever in Venice, you should do it.

In terms of albums, stay away from August and Everything After if you're feeling down. It's amazing, but brutal in certain circumstances.

As far as individual songs go, here's a couple:

Neil Gow a very interesting person, a sort of star in his day as he published all his pieces selling a good bit, even toured the US. If you ever find yourself in Dunkeld, Scotland go down to the church and see his tomb.

The artists on the recording, done at Rick Hirsch's (Wet Willie guitarist) studio, are music profs at a local uni.

Quite fond of the Unthanks as well. Had the great fortune to hear them at Jammin' Java in northern Virginia and at the Tyne Theatre in Newcastle. I listen when I get lonesome for Northumberland.
