If I bought a relic guitar I'd go for a white 1960s pre-CBS style Strat with a dull yellowed nitro finish, no exposed wood on the body, mint green pickguard and aged plastic parts, amber tinted neck, and tarnished chrome parts. That'd be relic enough for me.

This guitar is 30 years old, and has some battle scars on the back. But at least they're real battle scars, and the guitar isn't 2 years old.



Wait....does a relic have to be only from the '50s-'70s? That was before my time. My original Universe is a relic of my youth.

That was a pretty cool hardtail. Definitely something to the 3 saddle tele style bridge that makes for a very solid sound.

I did that in the 80’s and have sometimes regretted it, but it really operates well. At this point I’m so used to it that a regular trem feels funny.
