Happy 18th birthday New Millenium! You're now old enough to drink in Alberta, most parts of South America and Africa, and many other places!

The committee would have 100% included TWO LOSS Auburn had they won the SEC CCG. Heck, the committee had them T #2 at one point with their two losses. So the two loss argument doesn’t hold water.

B1G was the nation’s toughest conference this year. And the SEC was down. Of all years to include two teams from one conference, this year was not it. Especially the SEC. Wisconsin played a similarly weak schedule (although not quite as weak as Bama), and went 12-1 in a better conference, and made their CCG. They were more deserving. USC won the darn P12 and played 13 games ... and the most power five opponents in the country. They were more deserving than Bama.

    And OSU dominated both.

CFP Committee was a farce this year, with 6 of 13 members from the southeast. And ESPN in bed with the SEC controlling the narrative.

Say what you want about other teams, but Alabama did NOTHING to earn that spot.
    1) Played only 12 games to everyone else’s 13.
    2) Played the weakest schedule of the bunch.
    3) Lost to the only top ten team they played (Auburn).
    4) Beat ZERO top ten or even top 15 teams. OSU has four such wins. Of course, ESPN politically spews top 25 to wins to cover that fact. Sorry, but beating a top 10 Penn State or USC is much tougher than beating an overrated #23 Mississippi State team ( (who just picked up their fifth loss in their bowl to an unbranded Louisville).
    5) Only played 8 conference games versus 9 everyone else
    6) Actually played an FCS team in November, while OSU, Wisconsin and USC did not play any.

After UGA, Clemson and Oklahoma, there were two other Power Five conference champions and an undefeated UCF. Any of them, plus Wisconsin, were more deserving than Bama’s empty resume.

If it was all about picking “the best four teams”or the classic “eye test”,then defending champion OSU with an NFL roster would have made it in 2015. But the committee was very clear that:
    1) It was all about resume, not eye test
    2) Resume trumps best four teams
    3) Sparty’s fluke win of the B1G meant they got in and the committee would NOT put in two teams from one conference.

Every logical rule was changed this year to accommodate Alabama and the SEC.

Happy New Year to all!! I became an uncle in the early hours of this morning, so already plotting how to make sure this boy becomes a guitar player. He's going to have an awesome pedal collection to inherit, it's got to go somewhere.

    How's 4:00?? :)

And you are right on the odds of seeing a car/jeep.
Not often. We saw two yesterday. The same one twice.
That Jeep that rolled by was all smiles and thumbs
up when they passed the first time, and about 15
minutes later they were coming back up the hill. :dunno
I think they secretly wanted to ask if they could
take a run down the hill on one of our sleds. Fun
    is infectious!! :aok

4:00 might work, but my mom wants to know what kind of beer you have? :dunno Awkward question, I know, but otherwise she's calling ellsworthwoman to see what's going on at Greg's house (@ellsworthman).

But seriously, your area of our state is beautiful this time of year, and watching you sled with your son was priceless. Memories you won't forget! All the best to the two of you in this new year!

    Ditto.
2017 was my introduction to Lovepedal’s after reading about them for years. I almost don’t want to admit how many I bought in 2017.

on the stove cooking with some Potatoes, Onions, Garlic, and Carrots,
    though. :)

Maybe we can beer sled some other time. ;)

Ha ha ha. Undeserving SEC just lost two of three bowls so far today.

Back to the usual Lovepedal programming.

Yep, but at this point you might as well hold out to see what might drop at NAMM.

Might be a reason @DigiTechRep was clearing out those original Trio for $50.
