    Here's the problem:

    Bogner Shiva head:..................... $3000
    Bogner really nice cab:................ $1000??
    Les Paul Standard:...................... $2500
    Total:..........................................$6500

I have Champagne taste on a beer budget.
Does anything come close for half this amount?

I'd wait till the Renegade 50 comes out. Its got 34's and 6L6's in it with the capability to blend mix them together.

JCM 800, and a boss SD-1. Should leave enough left over for a good LP. SD-1 optional!

$3000??? That amp just sold here in the Emporium recently for, I think, $1299? Not that model, but the actual amp SgtThump used for the video. You can get a Bogner OS 2x12 for ~$600. And if you search, you can find a good LP for under $2k. So there ya go, that's just over half the amount. :D

But I would agree that if that tone floats your boat, track down the LP first. An LP into Bassman isn't anything sneeze at...

Is that cab tone G12Ms or G12Hs?

I know he says G12M... but he also says 55hz cones, which I believe is an H model thing.

And decent EL34 amp will break up like that when cranked up with a moderately decent humbucker guitar in the neck position. For the extra oomph, smack the front end of the amp with an SD-1 or TS-9.

    Used Shiva
Avatar Vintage 2x12" cab. Scumback speakers.
Used Japanese 80's Les Paul style guitar with upgraded pickups and a RS wiring kit.

That would save you some money. Also a used JCM800 and a boost would get you close too.
