The Stones and Taylor Swift

I can't wait to see what Lefsetz says about this!
Personally, I believe this is the farthest music has gone from its purest expression toward crass manipulative commercialism. (and I am an avowed capitalist).

This is a case of "you go talk to your people, talk to my people, talk to me. And we are ever ever getting together!"

I can hear the boardroom discussion now:
Gee let's get Taylor on stage with the Stones and she gains cred with the serious boomers (who have lots of kids you know!) and the Stones gain credibility with the youth market (who have aging parents you know).

Maybe both acts can team up for a live streamed mega family show at Disney World!

This strategy has already been tested--Taylor and Def Leopard!
The only downside is possible creepiness of seventy year old leering rockers complaining about "satisfaction" with Taylor on stage...or maybe she will join them in Honkey Tonk Women! or "Let's Spend the Night Together!" EEEEEEWWW ! (now that's creepy).

Haha.

Someone got mad at me on one of the other Stones threads for saying the Rolling Stones were the Katy Perry of their day. Now we can also add they were the Taylor Swift of their day.

I'd like to see Mick look her square in the eye while singing "Stray Cat Blues."

Pretty rough recording, understandably, but hard to tell much.

Great song. A lot of life wisdom expressed very artfully, for a couple of young punks, which they were when they wrote it.
