They want to focus on their "hard-hitting journalism."

I wouldn't wipe my ass with that paper.

Google Stephanie Rahn, the first Page 3 Girl from the November 17, 1970 issue. She was smoking hot...Oh yeah, NSFW...

Except many women and men made a legitimate career working there. As we know with the music industry, those people can't make much money by going to the Internet.

There is no legitimate career working at The Sun. It's a trashy tabloid, only good for lining bird cages or wrapping fish and chips...

I think it's pretty **** that boobs offend people so much they feel the need to petition to get them removed from a trashy newspaper they don't need to buy in the first place. Seriously, why are boobs so offensive to some people?

Boobs aren't offensive but The Sun certainly is. Piece of trash.

It's not "boobs," it's the pervasive exploit of women in general that a lot of folks are getting fed up with.

Men now almost expect women to exist to satisfy their lust. My wife works in a corporate environment and it's amazing to me some of the things people have said to her; asking her why she doesn't dress more sexy, why she doesn't wear more makeup, etc.....as if the only reason she's there is to be their eye candy.

And after 9 years of dedicated, hard work, and denial after denial of a raise, they bring in a girl from outside who wears tiny skirts, see-through tops with lingerie, and 4" heels, and suddenly she's become the darling of the company. All the execs fawn over her and load her with praise, all the while she's barely competent enough to turn on a computer, pawns off all her real work on everybody else (complaints about this go nowhere with the lust-struck execs) and freely walks in and out of the office as she pleases with no accountability for time.

I got fed up with it when I found out guys were walking around with cameras on their shoes trying to get upskirt videos (of all the people that were caught, only one was fired). My wife blew the whistle on it and it immediately become a hostile environment (she's now a "bitch" for not just allowing men to treat women however the hell they deem fit).

Told her to put in her two-week notice and get out, but I have a feeling there's a good chance it's going to be like this wherever she goes.

How is that different from the other "news"papers these days?

I'm not sure about now, but in the past, the girls only had to be 16 to appear topless on P3. Quite a number of those old shots would get you looked at kind of funny these days if you were to ogle them.

That really sucks. But taking away Page 3 won't do anything to change that culture.

You know why? Go read Cosmo or any female-centric/"feminist" magazine. They actively encourage women to use their looks and sex appeal to get ahead at the office. Your wife's new coworker with the tiny skirts is striking a blow for women everywhere, as far as they are concerned. Things won't change unless our culture grows up and stops treating sex like a commodity. But things definitely look to be going in the opposite direction.

Taking away the page 3 girls doesn't do anything to change it. That's just fantasy stuff.

FWIW (and it goes toward explaining the above a bit) I saw a recent reference to a university study in which people approached strangers to ask if they would have sex with them.

For the women who asked, almost 70% of men said yes.
For the men who asked, 0% of women said yes.

People will use all the arrows in their quiver to get what they want.
