right, so I've heard mixed things about Line 6's MM4 - all the way from "its a total dog" to "indespensible" - but never been able to give one a good whirl myself. yet i need a couple of good modulation tones (pitch vibrato, chorus, leslie cab sim etc.) asap for an artist I'm supporting at the mo. (i already have an empress trem that rocks my world)

I just want to know from the TGPers...are there any multi-modulation pedals that you swear by?

I love the concept of the mm4 but am put off by reports of it sounding too digital, unreliable and not delivering the phat tone we all want on most of it's simulations.

would love to hear what you think!:huh

ive yet to find a L6 product that didn't sound like a toy to my ears, but yeah, other people do swear by them.

If I was going to go the multi-fx route i'd probably look at the TC Electronics Nova System first.

I think modeling is okay, but it's a short-term solution.

actually im dumb this is definitely what i'd turn to first--i have the timefactor and it is absolutely amazing so I wouldn't expect any less from this. Hell I almost want to get one for the "undulator" setting alone.

I love my MM4- my cousin turned me on to this which he used in his live rig on tour with Don Henley.

I used the MM4 for many years on my touring & session pedalboard. I recently switched over to the Eventide, which is a big improvement in sounds and tweakability though I'll tell you I miss having four presets available right in front of me.
