Thanks Bary for alerting me. I was wondering since 4 days what's going on as I have not received a single email from anyone including the world outside TGP...
I just submitted error report to my ISP.

In the meantime if you have sent me an email during last 4 days and not received any answer it is because I have not received it.
Please be so kind and resend it to [IMG]

Anders, you do visit Goteborg occasionally, don't you? Give me a call or send me a PM and I'll arrange something.

I uploaded 2 new video clips to http://www.youtube.com/vacuumvoodoo

Recorded last Thursday (July 1st) in my friends and primary Beta testers rehearsal studio. He sometimes visits TGP under nick "CryBaby".
Played through a Tubewonder oversized 212 cab with Eminence Private Jack + Red Fang. A SM58 mike placed 2m away and 1.5m above the cab recorded to HD, this replaced the cameras sounddtrack in the clips.

First clip is a solo showing clean to mean progression with only finger and guitar volume control & PUP switching.

Second clip is with unchanged amp settings against a prerecorded backing track.

PS. the email problems are solved!

...but if you don't care about techno-babble and only want to know "How much $$$" - scroll all the way down to "Pricing prognosis". Thank you.

    Format & construction:
    Head

Dimensions: 432X220x220, custom steel cage, powder coated, integral handles on corners. Dimensions conform to 19" rack standard, the amp will take up 5U space.
    Mounting flanges available separately

    Electronics assembly method:
Passive components on double sided PCB, tubes, potentiometers, switches etc chassis mounted and wired to the PCB.
High level of serviceability throughout but you shouldn't worry about that.
    Weight: TBD < 12kg
    Architecture:
Single channel dual mode Clean/OD, individual MV controls for each mode (foot switch)
    Common EQ section
Tubes, preamp:12AY7 + 2x12AX7/ECC83. The 12AY7 can be replaced with a 12AX7/ECC83 for cold PUPs

Front Panel controls, from to right:
Input Jack, PUP Toggle switch: SC/P90/HB
Bottom: sweepable High Pass filter, Toggle filter On/Off
    B(ass): Bass EQ
    Top: Treble EQ
    Gain
Mid: Dip-Hump Level, Accent Toggle: Dark/Bright, Mid Boost: Mid EQ lift
Mid Range: rotary 4 position ½ octave spaced mid center frequency switch Drive
    Drive
    Clean Volume
    OD Volume
Power On/Off rocker switch, red illuminated
Stand by/ Play rocker switch, green illuminated
    Rear Panel controls:
    FX-loop: cross fade/mix style Series/Parallel
    Send & Return jacks
    FX-loop Send Level, Mix
Toggle: Return buffer gain switch 0/15db
Loop is always in circuit, foot switchable return kill, allows loop to be used as solo boost when not used for effects.
    Speaker outputs jacks: 4/8/16 Ohm

IEC mains power inlet, Mains Fuse, HT Fuse

    Power Amp:
    Class AB1, fixed bias (adjustable)
Phase Inverter: ½ ECC82 driver into ½ ECC82 split load PI
    Power courtesy of 2x7591S/A
Output Power: 23W clean (power levels must be prime numbers, my fetish)
    Output Transformer: custom wound Toroid

    Power consumption: 90VA max
Power Transformer: custom Toroid, international primary 100/120/220/230/240V
Norms compliance (electrical safety, CE marking)): EN60065, EN61558, ROHS, WEEE

    Option:
2x6L6GC/EL34, 55W output power, class AB1 fixed bias (adjustable)

PRICE prognosis, factory direct at July 6 exchange rate 1USD = 7.70SEK
It looks like I should be able to keep the price for 23W version BELOW 3k$ (=22.000SEK) INCLUDING SHIPPING to USA & EU,
    excluding local customs and taxes.

I'd rather set a higher estimate now and end up significantly lower than other way round, hopefully closer to 2500 than 3k.
55W option at an up charge of ca 200$ (requires a different transformer set).

If you're interested in owning a "Zagray!" amp:
    Email or PM me
for info on sign-up and ordering procedure & lead times.
Please confirm your sign-up if you are already on the list.

Looks pretty sweet. The second clip with the backing tracks seems a it unbalanced to me. The backing track seems to be coming off a bit more loudly than the lead guitar?

Yes, perhaps lead is something like 2db low during first 60 secs...it gets pretty loud and above backing track from 1:10. But hey, it begins soft and clean embedded in the mix only to slice through later when the tone gets overdriven.
Roger, mail received & replied. Thank you.

Hey Voojo, welcome to the Zagray! cruise. Your wait will be definitely significantly shorter than a normal pregnancy. More like a half term.
You can pick your own serial number but there's a catch: it has to be a 5 digit prime. There'll be a penalty for non primes.:Spank

I am about to lock design of the face plate. Color scheme: dark chocolate graphics on light cafe latte background. Powder coat + screen print with 2-component paint, becomes scratch resistant after hardening under UV light. Tough stuff :D Colors may be as false on your monitor screen as on mine.

    you might find me somewhere.
    if i may, aleks?

i totally dig the font for the zagray! "logo",
but feel that the font for the controls is much too "curly" / "rococo",
    and kinda hard-to-read.
i think a simpler, squarer complement to the logo-font would "scan" mo' bettah, & mo' fastah.
it should be complementary, of course,
in order to maintain some notable visual integrity w/the logo-font.

said with best wishes in mind!

    best,
    dt / spltrcl

I agree with dt. Most of the writing is quite difficult for me to read.

yep -- i agree as well. that would be nearly impossible to see onstage, or in a dark studio setting. time for a new font!

i really like the LAYOUT of the knobs, very intuitive design!
