I was pumped up to come in and defend some millenials, but now I just want to give hugs haha
Such a sweet little girl!
This reminds me of that Onion article: Cool Dad Raising Daughter On Media That Will Put Her Entirely Out Of Touch With Her Generation
I suppose we all do this. My kid knows RHCP from the first note.
Somewhere I have a video of my kids, 10-12 years ago, bouncing off the walls to KISS. Such a proud daddy day!
Wow, she's with it! That was sweet.
A W E S O M E !!!!
Setting the bar pretty low to think knowing Zep tunes equals hope for the future of young'uns.
Man, that is great! Cool beans there-
What a great little kid!!
Beautiful little girl! Reminds me of my doll at that age!
I was proud when my son discovered music of his own. Some of it appealed to me. Some of it didn't. But he'd found his music.
As a Gen-Xer, I find myself ambivalent towards celebrating this kind of thing. Little kids often like the music of their parents until they begin to develop their own musical tastes. That music is dinosaur music to that girl. It strikes me as the equivalent of adults being excited by a kid with knowledge of Tin Pan Alley or 30s crooners when I was young.
shouldn't it be willie dixon?
Super sweet little girl - gave me a big smile watching her. Thanks for posting this!
I would just like to say that as the OP my thread title was totally tongue in cheek. My grand daughter loves Bob Marley and James Brown, which of course, I love, but it's what gets played in her home . Even though exposure accounts for a lot of this I have to say that the little girl in this video does show a lot of musical awareness for one so young.
Wow, a couple of downer threads in here which is pretty hard to believe. Shows that some people thinks every cloud has a $hit lining. Scrooges!!
