:bowJunior Barnard and Bob Wills were a great pairing. Bob loved the blues and Junior could throw down on a blues tune like nobody's business.
He was one of the first guys to get a big, fat, distorted archtop sound... a lot of West Coast blues guys must've heard him and tried to cop his sound.

I love how the rock guys never mention him when they are doing the history of distorted tones.

Kind of like how Marty Robbins' Don't Worry fuzz tone solo by Grady Martin on a baritone in 1960 is forgotten as well.
