Thinking about a x32 producer or rack?

I'm currently using a presonus 16.0.2 and have out grown it. Six people on 4 mono mixes and trying to move to in-ears isn't working great.
I'm just wondering about peoples experience mixing with either an ipad or laptop (or both) I'm a little nervous on going without knobs and faders. I use both a laptop and a ipad with the presonus so it isn't a matter of having to add them to use if I go with the rack.
With the price drops from NAMM I'm a little more motivated to do something.
Sometimes it is mixing from stage sometimes we have a sound guy. For the $300(MAP) difference I'm leaning toward producer but would love to hear some real world experience.
    Thanks!

I have the x rack and I love it.
Coming from the mackie dl1608, I was already comfortable with just an iPad.
    I bring a laptop for a hard wire connection....just as a backup.

I like the rack because I can put my entire pa in one rolling rack case and stack my guitar amp on top of it on stage. I couldn't do that if I had the mixer surface.
I also put a patch bay right under the x rack, so the band plugs into the patch bay....nobody plugs into the rack directly. Very clean and fool proof.....well, as much as it can be.

I have an X32 rack and love it. I have an 8 space rack that is filled from the top down with the following:

    1: Power conditioner
    2: Shure PSM900 IEM transimitter
    3. rack shelf for Belkin WiFi Router
    4: X32 Rack
    5: "
    6: "
7: 2 space rack drawer for IEM belt packs and batteries.
    8. "

So do you leave the rack on stage and not bother with a snake? For the hard wired laptop is that via usb or ethernet? Any problems running both the laptop and the ipad at the same time?

I put rack behind me on stage.
Patch bay is there instead of a snake.

I have connected laptop via Ethernet to mix.
    Have not tried iPad simultaneously.

With my two crown itech amps, I have a 12k watt pa contained within a 10 space rack. Dream rig! I'll try to take a pic later....

I think it's funny that owners say "X-32 rack" or "X-32 producer" without mentioning the B-word...:noevil

Ah... when I talk about the neck on my Les Paul, are you going to be confused that I might be talking about the man and chime in with Gibson?

I didn't leave out behringer for any reason other than it was less typing.
It's well known who makes the x32....I don't think anyone is avoiding saying they love their behringer mixer.

Um, Is there any doubt that it's a Behringer?

Excuse me while I go re-string my FENDER Strat, followed by my GIBSON Les Paul, then plug it into my VOX AC30.
