Thinking about getting a Tyler

Hey guys, so I have too many guitars that I don't use and I have decided to just sell a bunch of stuff and go for it. I am looking to get a 'superstrat' in the Tyler/ Suhr/ PWE/ Anderson/ Vigier quality. I am really interested in a Tyler Studio Elite, or HD because they seem to be the ultimate in superstrats. But, money is an issue and it looks like those go for a lot.

This is what I have to sell to get me there:

Fender American Standard Strat
Fender Eric Johnson Strat
Marshall 1960 4x12
Gibson Flying V

This is what I want as far as a Tyler:
maple neck
schmear or vomit finish
undecided about a Floyd or trem

I can probably get $2600 or more for everything here, so any chance of getting one used for this much?

I am pretty uneducated as far as Tylers, so any help I would appreciate!

I sold my Suhr custom standard & amp to get the funds for a Tyler se hd. I got one here on tgp less than a year old for $2500. It was the best thing I've ever done besides having children. I have had 3 Suhr (all were indeed great!!) & some other nice guitars but a Tyler is something different altogether.

all i have to say is that i think tyler's are some of the best guitars out there! last week i went into wildwood in co. and played a bunch of custom shop and wildwood 10 fenders and at the end of the test drive session the manager (nathan) broke out 3 different tylers to play. i was completely floored! i'm definitely ordering a studio elite in the very near future and was told i could get one with no midboost and a solid color paint scheme for @ $3200 new and i have seen a few used ones in the $2500 range. good luck on your journey and IMO they are well worth every penny.

I LOVE my Candy Apple Red Tyler Classic. Like you, I too want a schmear finish and I will have one some day, but yeah... run, don't walk to get that Tyler! You'll love it.

+1 on the neck. I've had some great neck guitars (3 Suhrs, Grosh, Fenders, Hamers, K-line etc.....) but the neck on a Tyler is just something special IMO. Just incredible feeling.

Well, I am on my way to snagging one. 1 guitar I am selling is on hold, 2 more to sell plus a cab before I get enough dough. Then I am on the prowl for a used one!

There have been a couple of nice deals around lately on some used ones. They hold their value very well also. Good luck on your quest & if you have any questions hit me up!
