Thinking about putting together a small acoustic pedalboard

I was thinking of getting a pt-mini and grabbing a pitchblack, a delay w/ tap, and maybe either an eq or compressor. I would power it with a 1 spot. I'm pretty versatile in my style so any thoughts? I won't need a reverb. Also who else has an acoustic board? Post pics.

I'm putting together something similar myself at the moment, although it's a combined acoustic electric board on a Junior. First question I would have is what are you using for a preamp? If you're running an active pickup it's not as big a deal, but a lot of pickups want to see a preamp first.

Not sure I want a compressor since I have a Headway pre on the board, but the Diamond would be first on my list. I ran my flatop (after the pre) through my Retro Sonic delay this afternoon and it sounded really pretty darned good with a short delay and the tone rolled way back. Just fattened up the guitar but wasn't over the top. I think though, that I'll probably try a digital delay - maybe the Nova Repeater - with something I can re-set a little faster.

I used this setup for awhile. Worked great, but my daughter has inherited my Quattro so I'm re-building.

I would say probably a Barber Tone Press, so you can blend the compressed and dry signal. That will give you a more natural sound, with as much compression punch as you want to dial in.

ill try and post a pic tom. ive found that the katana boost is amazing for acoustic. adds some mojo, some presence and some dimension to the sound.(gibson J45 undersaddle) i intended it for solos but i leave it on all the time now..stole it from my electric board..its not going back. besides that im running a little verb (mini holy grail) and a TU3 and for now a cheap DI.

trust me if you have a katana its a unsuspecting yet an incredible acoustic tool.

thanks guys I'm going to take a look at that tone press. someone over on HC recommended a nova repeater, and I fell in love. so that's a definite there.

edit: I'll also look into the katana which I have seen before back when I used to use compression on my electric pedalboard

I'm also using the Barber TonePress on my acoustic board. It works well, but I would still like to try the TC comp that has a parallel feature also.

It seems the TC has three presets for the blend while the Barber is continuous.

The TC has more options but it's digital.
There's something more comforting about analog pedals!
