What part do you think is a joke? the price? Mullards are getting as rare as rocking horse poo these days and are the rolls royce of valves
these are Russian.... hence the question
Yep those appear to be reissues.
They are on eBay . . . They are fake . . . Why is there a question?
Those are "reissues" and that is a terrible price for them.
Yes, they are reissue "Mullard" EL34's made in Russia.
These tubes that sell for $22.95/ea brand new retail:
A new matched quad sells for $97.80 retail.
Three used ones for 155 Euro seems to be unrealistic---
Maybe they pay more for them in Russia because they are made in Russia.
He's charging a very high premium for testing and matching; the odd part is a matched trio
^^^Right, I was just going to say who ever looks for a matched trio?
Has to be a joke. You can clearly see “Made in Russia” and the VHT stickers. Generally when people sell fakes they actually attempt to hide obvious tells and price somewhat close to market value. It’s a joke.
Does the description say they are British Mullards?
Just one more reason to stay away from Russian web sites.
I didn't notice that.. completely agree with, way over priced.
That just serves as one more reminder:
1. Never sell outside of continental USA.
2. Never buy from outside of continental USA.
Tell reverb and ebay you don't even want to know what goes on in the rest of the world...
It's ok since we are all on the same side of this little flat earth of ours.
