1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

This has to be the worst Rig interview I've ever seen

Just terrible. I don't know if he's dumb or just trying to be funny, but either way it's not working for me. We don't even get to have a full look at the board or the amps. Those poor guys handled it well, but I wouldn't have been so kind.

Humor is like ice cream: there are many flavors, some good and some terrible.

I've never had an ice cream flavor as bad as this video.

    Clocked out at 1:30, unwatchable.

Honestly, maybe just my 'old age' ( and getting grumpy/jaded) but these rig rundowns ( like PG's) just seem long and bore me.

There is a lot of artist butt kissing, I can't relate to the amount of $$/gear used ( does Joe B really have to switch on/off between 3-4 tweed Twins/ Bassmans, and use 3 '59 LP's?), or I just don't dig the music.
Also very often gear I do like ( mainly the actual guitars/amps) is picked up, talked about, but NOT actually demo-ed ( sp?) for the viewer.
Once again it's probably an "It's not you, it's me!" ( Seinfeld) situation, its me.

    He's goofing.
Not well, but he's goofing. Like some Howard Stern hanger-on. Sad existence.

I pine for the days when Howard Stern was still funny! But yes, this does remind me of one of the innumerable unremarkable Howard Stern sidekicks

That group was spamming the board here a lot with their videos pretending to be real gear reviews. They caused a lot of problems and were banned.

You may want to remove that. Calling attention to their stupidity only attracts them because they get the attention.

I feel the same way. What's the point of doing it if they don't demonstrate how everything sounds? Too much *ss-kissing "Wow - That <XYZ> is awesome!!" Too much detail... move it along (unless you're going to show us how it actually sounds).

Yeah one of the guys behind the channel posts stuff to a Facebook group I'm on, and the general consensus is that the videos are stupid and unfunny.

Ya, This video doesn't demo any sounds AT ALL! There's no *ss-kissing here, but I must admit I don't mind that so much in the serious Rundowns. At least, when it's an artist I have respect for.

The interviewer is terrible, says a lot of lame & cliche remarks, is quite stupid, doesn't treat the person being interviewed professionally, and isn't very good at directing the interview to where the musicians feel comfortable talking to him about their onstage rig. I would rather watch a gear rig rundown from any of the people on Premier Guitar. If I ever get that lucky to have someone want to interview me about my stage rig, I would terminate my interview with that guy.

Agreed. Instead of these subpar copycats I'd rather just see more wonderful interviews from the Premier Guitar guys!

Dua’s been with her band all through her rise to fame.

    They’re very tight.

Given the plethora of really bad "Gear Rundown" videos out there, I actually found this spoof kinda funny. Guess I need to up my medication...
