A helpful tutorial for many posters in the Emporium...

    THIS is a rosewood neck:

THIS is a rosewood fretboard. It is NOT a rosewood neck.

    THESE ARE FACTS.

I could find you a dozen examples in the Emporium in two minutes. As Fender now routinely offers rosewood necks, and PRS and most custom/boutique builders have for years, it can get very confusing. Especially when people don't add photos. :aok

I'll tell u another fact....the fact is when u say rosewood neck here, about .000001% don't know u r talking about a RW board. It's easier then writing out out and only those obcessed with perfect semantics are bothered by it, and the kicker is they even know u mean RW board. If someone is talking about an all rosewood neck which is fairly rare, they usually say that. Man, why all the semantics posts like this? If it bothers you enough to post about it then we have to come up with a replacement phrase for 3rd world problems that means 3rd world problems X1000. o_O Ok, maybe i'm in a bitchy mood, but come on man !

For years , before solid rosewood necks were readily abailable, people commonly said “rosewood neck” to describe a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard.

You can only get away with getting this wrong if you have multiple vintage Fender guitars.

Language is created by the users.
I take "all rosewood neck" to mean a rosewood neck. Otherwise I assume it's a RW fretboard - and typically I don't usually waste more than 30 secs figuring out what I'm looking at.

Yeah "solid rosewood" is the term that someone would search on.
